Board of Directors
Dr. Y Pritham Raj was born and raised in Maryland. He is a physician who trained in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry and served on the faculty at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina before relocating to Portland, Oregon in 2006. He specializes in the interface between general internal medicine and psychiatry and cares for patients and teaches at Oregon Health & Science University using a “mind-body” approach. Pritham helped create the new Emotional Wellness Center for Adventist Health in Portland for patients needing intensive mental health treatment to either avoid hospitalization or as part of post-hospital care. He is a classical trumpet player who also enjoys writing, traveling, and sports. But his one true passion is being a dad to three of the most amazing children on the planet, who were instrumental in the creation of DARK to Light. In fact, it was through the process of his own separation and divorce that Pritham was inspired to seek ways to support the most vulnerable victims of divorce – the children. He is honored to serve with such an esteemed board of directors.
