Do you know a family going through a separation or divorce?
Helping to Bring Encouragement and Security to Children of Divorce
The idea behind DARK is to bring encouragement to children particularly between ages 5-13 who are going through the initial psychological upheaval of separation/divorce. Below are some of the ways we plan to help.
- Delivering a greeting card with age-appropriate hand-written words of encouragement to the child(ren) going through divorce.
- Enclosing a gift certificate for a family meal and/or depending on the age of the child, tickets to a family event (movie or ballgame, etc).
- Including a small token of affection such as a backpack (for carrying clothes back and forth) or a stuffed animal (object of comfort).
We will help provide a cost-free time for the child to connect with his/her family despite all of the chaos in their lives. Refer a child or family today.
